iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Touch Disease IC Chip Repair Service with M1 Jumper
Once we receive your device we will professionally repair the touch IC that causes touch disease, we will remove the chip and run a jumper underneath it then reinstall the IC.
Before we begin the repair we will check the LCD to ensure it is not faulty, we will check the board connector to ensure it is not damaged and will check that the phone has not been "Long Screw Damaged"
What is touch IC disease?
There are two chips on the iPhone 6 and 6 plus logic board that handle the touch functionality. The two chips are called Meson and Cumulus to the repair community. U2401 (Cumulus) and U2402 (Meson) as they are known in the schematics.
The iphone 6 and 6 plus housing is prone to bending and one of these chips called Cumulus has a thin wire coming from it on a line called M1, this is easily damaged with repeated flexing.
Symptoms of touch logic ic failure:
- Horizontal line at top of screen
- No touch screen / part touch screen
- Screen jumping and random touching
- Intermittent screen
